It’s the back to school rush….
Teachers are busy making their rooms more organized, trying to make sure the “decorations” are aligned with the Common Core, sitting in meeting after meeting, making lists of “Things To Do,” checking out their class lists and enjoying those sacred days of eating out.
Parents are busy gathering the exact pair of scissors, the right colors in 3 pronged folders, helping their fashion forward child find the “perfect” outfit for the first day of school, and finding a backpack that will last all year long, but still sport the child’s latest pop star obsession.
Then the first day arrives and everyone is in the correct Common Core aligned classroom, with the right outfit and it all works out. The teachers take a deep sign of relief and the parents hug their child one more time and send them off to conquer this school year.
