Therapist Thursday….Summer Journals

Michelle Yoder, OTR/L

Summer Vacation can be full of fun trips and events!

Encourage your child to journal his or her experiences.  He or she can write down details as you go; this is a good way to occupy those long car rides or waiting times at restaurants.  Or, once you’re back home, he or she can re-live those memories by creating a scrapbooking journal.

Whether your child chooses to keep a notebook to jot down memories, or fill a scrapbook, sometimes kids need a little help to get started.  Use this “story starter” that I created to use with my kids to help them record those special memories of summer vacation.
