Learning with Christmas Candy!

Need an activity to use up the holiday M&M’s in the house?  Try this math activity.

Have your child grab a handful of holiday M&M’s.

First, have them sort the candy by colors.
Then ask them the following questions…
-how many of each color do they have?
-how many are there all together?
-which color has the most? the least?
Next, have your child make a pattern out of the candy.

When finished, allow your child to eat as many pieces as they are old.  Put the remainder in a bag for later.
