Make Your Own Fall Harvest

sdWhile you’re whipping up pies and setting the Thanksgiving table, put your little ones to work strengthening their finger muscles and improving their coordination by making these special holiday decorations.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Heavy duty white paper (suitable for finger-painting)

Yellow, brown and orange finger paints

Green construction paper, cut into long strips, for the husks

Glue sticks

First, have your child fold each sheet of white paper in half, the long way.  Cut out “half” an oval, on the folded side.  Unfold the oval and dot with different paint colors, to create the kernels of corn.  Allow to dry, and then, use a glue stick to adhere the green paper husks!

Enjoy!
