Turn The Page

Reading independently is a momentous developmental step – even when your little one is only reading “pictures.”  So it doesn’t seem fair that kiddos should have to struggle turning the pages.  There is, however, a simple solution used in classrooms across the country.  And you’ll only need a few simple supplies:

Items Needed:
Book (board books and books with thicker pages work best)
Glue gun
Glue sticks

Heat up glue gun heat.
Open book to first page.
Place small dot of glue on first page.
Let cool.
Continue with each page.

Once glue cools, you can let your child “read” independently.  The glue keeps the pages slightly separated making it easier for little fingers to turn the pages.
