Ways to have Sensory Fun in the Summer, Pt. 3

The Therapist Thursday Blog…a few days late

Smells – Have some cooking fun! This is a great way to get kids involved in daily chores, and have fun too! Let your child plan a meal, help prepare the meal, and talk about the different smells as you are cooking (sweet, spicy, sour, etc). Or, take a walk outside and pick some flowers, and smell them along the way.

Tastes – Taste test! Have fun tasting different foods, drinks, lollipops and see if your child can identify the taste. This may also be a fun way for your child to explore some new foods too. Also, enjoy talking about the tastes of the yummy meal that your child prepared.
